If I was you I would go to another dealership to have it fixed, I work for a dealership with several brands of cars, Hyundai, Nissan Chrysler, VW and BMW, Nissan would be the tightest on warranty, but all the other brands are good, if you have a long history they would fix that no problems, I know that it also comes down to the particular workshop foreman you have as to how hard he is going to be on you, if he seems like a nice bloke to talk to then most likely he will help you out, if not try another dealership

Today the mount for the rear diff sheared off, and Ford and FPV took a stirn stance on fixing it under warranty. I argued as much as I could but it was a no go, I can see thier point. But I want to warn you other Ford owners that the grass is greener elsewhere.

My WRX after about 12 months of having the suspension fitted, chewed a rear LSD and a front, hub. Subaru could have taken the same stance and refused warranty. However they truly do have customer loyalty and replaced both for me under warranty.

Is it a common prob for the mount to sheer off? also do you have any pics? and wrx's are renowned for drivetrain problems at the best of times let alone modifying them, but its good to see they fixed that up for you...

Make them proove that the mods caused the problem.

yep, that's what I'd do.. wouldn't hand over a cent mate.

2 other people in this thread alone have had theirs repaired with mods, you shouldn't be any different

good luck

If your sports suspension was fitted by Subaru Docklands themselves then of course you can keep your warranty, that's the whole point of getting it fitted by them. If you took your F6 elsewhere to have suspension fitted then no, you won't be looked after the same. It is pretty sh*tty of them not to fix it cause its a common problem but you can't expect the same level of service between factory fitting by a dealer and aftermarket fitment.

Yeah dont you just love that banging sound it makes? Ive had the same problem. Fortunately I have a great dealer, and they fixed my 03 BA just a month or so ago for me, free of sharge (I bought it from them 9 months ago). Apparently there is a few hours labour involved. I would definately try another dealer. Maybe sweet talk a sales person and show interest in the latest and greatest model (BFII XR8 lol!!)

just another bullsh*t example of Ford MoCo service, either deny or accept all of these, how can an individual decide whether you get it fixed under warranty especially if that individual does not like your approach to the issue, tone of voice or even how you look :roflmbo:
