The result? Useless for their intended roles. The best one (which was Nulon Pro Strength from memory) raised the RON rating by 1 point.................. not very cost effective. Also, octane boosters tend to coat your very expensive spark plugs in rubbish which will cause spluttering and misfiring - I learnt from practical experience the hard way.Tune the car with the fuel intended. If it is tuned correctly and not at detonations door, then even a substandard batch of fuel should be dealt with by the ecu ok. Otherwise, look at using a fuel like Sunoco GT Plus unleaded - 109RON rated. Mix a little of this in and it will raise your overall RON rating in proportion. For example, 10 litres of Sunoco with 20 litres of Optimax Extreme will be 103RON. Putting this into some more perspective, a 200 litre drum of Sunoco works out to about $4/litre. Using the above example, it has cost an extra $40. Nulon is around $30 and doesn't have the same effect and wrecks plugs........... But remember, if the car ain't tuned for the Octane rating, you are simply wasting your money. My 2 cents........... Numbers are used in the same way but just adds a bit more to confuse you people buying the boosters. So why not talk in the lingo you people do.that's when I designed and started manufacturing the NITROUS FORMULA brand of Octane boosters and use the ron term.I wasthe first person in the world to do so and take the confusion of of this market. So others are now following but are just printing this new way on the bottles, unfortunately it has now confused the issue more.EASY WAY TO SEE HOW GOOD IT IS READ HOW MUCH FUEL THE BOTTLE WILL TREAT.WHY PAY $30.00 FOR 1 TANK, WITH NF YOU PAY THAT FOR 5 OR 6 TANKS.You people at long last get what you are hoping to get ,a booster that really does work and instead of all the fancy packaging which all cost money and you throw it in the rubbish bin I put that extra money into the ingredients in the bottle so you can actually use it.NF RACE will treat up to 5 or 6 tanks !!!!!!Use only 1 to 1.5 mls per litre of fuel. Here is a guide using these rates.91/92 up to 94.5/9595/96 up to 97/9898 up to 99.5/100100 up to 100.5So where dose the 6RON come in marked on the bottle you ask??ADD a full bottle to 91 octane fuel and this will give you 97 octane fuelBUT add the same bottle to 100 octane fuel and its only a 2/2.5 ron ratingadd this same bottle to 88 octane fuel could be as much as 7 or 8 ronSo its not the same rating for low octane fuel as high octane fuel.NF is the cheapest octane booster on the market per tank per gain Whats more its made in this great land of ours by a car enthusiest giving you people value for money!!!!IF YOU WANT THE BEST OCTANE BOOSTERS IN THE WORLD THEY ARE MADE RIGHT HERE IN AUST AND THERES 2 OF US !!!!!!!!! NITROUS FORMULA AND SOME HAVE MENTIONED MY OPPOSITION Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/33642-octane-boosters/page/2/#findComment-514458 Share on other sites
