For all those that want louder sounds from their car, have you thought about this?

I was reading my rocket industries dogologue lastnight and thought San could use this or anyone else.

A filter with a dedicated cold air feed, that is enclosed in heat resistant material. Put the pipe under somewhere in front of the car, and it has nothing but cold air being ingested.

The filter goes straight onto the turbo, or with a litte extension and the black pipe out the front.

Did it say anything about the price mate?

I will make a call today and find out.

It may be an easier option than moving the battery, or cutting metal just for the sake of a pod.

Thanks mate let us know how you get on, as if its well priced might be keen on getting one on my car, just seems alot easier.

cheers charlie :stupid:

I don't know the cost of moving the battery and all the other crap that goes with it.

I just called rocket and $335 plus delivery (10-15 bucks) is the price.

You may want to extend it slightly with some silicon hose to stop massive heatsoak from the impeller.

This may sound like a stupid question but does it include the pod filter? :stupid:

YES

You will need to fit the crankcase breather into the unit after the filter and to keep it close to legal plumb in the blow off valve.

You can mount this onto the front of the turbo, squeeze the flexible pipe in under the battery tray (that square hole is actually not a bad size) and this places the filter box right behind the headlight. Straight at a cold air feed.

Then just add fittings (or a piece of pipe) that fit crankcase breather and blowoff valve and you're laughing. Almost a factory install.

If this is the case - why not use the filter and hose installation off a boss motor - they have just this type of setup. Probably quite a few boss owners out there have discarded theirs - AKA Saleen and MS700

Looks good... a pod and a flexi hose with a metal pipe section for bov/breather will do the same thing for less $$
