I hooked up the router and I was able to get the net on one puter then I added the link, it detected the network but I lost my internet connection and my link, I then uninstalled everything and it works fine again, I'm having alot of problems! This is going to take some time I thinks.

I built a media centre a month or so back

using a P4 - 2.6ghz cpu, 2gb hi-po ram, 200gb hdd, 16x dvd, Nvidia 6600gt gfx card, dvico dual-HD tuner card and sound blaster audigy 4 sound card, running XP MCE 2005, run's a treat.

I already have a wi-fi network in my house, so it just connects to that... watch /record high-def shows, steam DivX & XviD movies across the airwaves no dramas.

No crashes, lag, problems anything. it's pefect, unlike zapper, I'd highly recommend them

oh yeah as for noise, a $400 case sorted that out... quite as a baby sleeping.

Matt

Antec make cases (designed as a media PC case) which you can pick up for around $180 as a media PC case, it's so quite that you could hear a mouse fart in the other room. (not many fans and huge heat sinks and loads of ventilation)

I have actually been looking at these and I've settled for a case that cost about $300 from Antes.

I bought a micro board, the case is excellent and does everything I need.
