Macktheknife,

Is yours a Ute or sedan..?

ALL sedans with Premium sonud should have the A pillar speakers just near the top of the dash..

I would imagine the Utes do not get them as the sound system is prestige..

If you have the sedan get it checked out....

Thanks BD,

It's a Feb 03 build sedan and definatly no tweeters in the A pillars.

The dealer (Byrne Ford in Bris) has been very forthcoming with previous small probs.

Will report after I tackle it with them.

Incidently, 5000 on the clock, driven with spirit, no brake shudder so far, yes, have the engine stall problem under traffic braking (Its a slusher) still very happy with the way it gets mobile.

Mick,

Sounds like they have done as per the other post. Put the WRONG  a pillar covers on..

To see if the speakers are actually there... (They are easy to remove.) Just put your fingers in the top of the cover (at the top of the door) and gently pull inwards toward the center of the car. You may find that the speakers are there behind it. The speakers mount on the A pillar it self seperately..

Good luck.. keep us informed...

Regards

BD.... :oooh:

BD,

Thanks.

Yep, checked this yesterday.

No tweety birds on the pillars but there is a spare socket in the loom right at the bottom of the pillar.

Also there is what looks like a potential mounting slot in the bottom of the piller.

Is this where the tweeter mounts?

Just want to be fully armed before I phone the dealer.

They should be mounted on thier own block on the Pillar. They are obvious when you remove the cover.

If they are not obvious then you do not have them. Ring the dealer so they will have them in stock when you go in.

They should only take a few minutes each to install them. Are you missing any others? Do you have a sub?

Mackthe,

Have a look in this document. The last pic shows the A Pillar cover removed and you can see the tweater...

Mine is a March Build Sedan with Premium sound..

Hope that helps with the info you need ready for the dealer..
