Not All Oil Filters Are Equal?

I think the unmarked grey oil filter fitted to the ba's from the factory are AC Delco items. exact same shape and dimensions.its not a motorcraft that's for sure.how can ford reject a claim because of an oil filter when they dont even fit what they sell. I have always fitted motorcraft filters to my T. however I would have no problems in fitting a Ryco or K&N oil filter to my car.

getting back to the question I agree with the others,look for the anti drain back valve on the box.aviod $2 filters.

I use expensive oil,so why use cheap filters?

is the EA noisy all the time or just for a few seconds on start up?

I work casual at Repco while bludging my way through uni (commerce and law degree) and this is something I looked into in one of my bored moments - out of the three brands we sell - Repco, Silverline and Ryco, the Rycos are the only ones that state they have an anti-drain valve. As for the rest there's nothing to say if they do or don't.
