Hi fellow ute drivers

Has anyone here traded from a BA XR6T ute into a BF XR6T ute?? What differences have you found I.e. quality (Does it still have the little ute issues still?), performance, drive ability. Are you glad you traded up??? Im thinking of trading up to a BF but not sure yet...

I traded in November from BA XR6T 4sp auto to BF XR6T 6sp auto.

New ute is heaps better:

* heaps quicker than 4sp

* much smoother

* much quieter

* economy no different yet

* brakes better

* Have lowered 20mm front 35mm rear with Bilstiens rear - handles much better

(initially lowered 50mm but didn't seem to be as good as 35mm rear)

* traction control - so what !!!

Done heaps of reading on edits and have worked out there are good tuners & cowboys so think I will do Nizpro 10psi edit with valve springs & enlarged injectors. This will then all appear stock & I guess will do low 13's. Others may care to comment here.

As I said on earlier post, I change my utes every 3 years or a bit less and it only cost about $12k change over - much more to change over a sedan but ute suits me.

Sport.

I pick up my bf xr6t in about 3 weeks..

most of the reviews ive read say its a must better build than the Ba.. so im hoping so

does the bf suffer fromt he drive line thump that the ba had? I think it was only the manuals?

im gettiung the manual bf.

U might not need to do the valve springs in your BF, as Ford was ment to have changed these items in the BF to Typhoon springs, however after speaking to simon (nizpro) he seen a few that still retained the BA valve springs so I suppose its the luck of the draw if you managed to get an ealier BF that had the older valve springs, cause if you got the thyphoon ones well you dont need to change em.
