Whine In Auto Gearbox ?

I'm interested to hear more about your problem with the CD player, I have a Mkii with premium sound as well and I'm having a few issues similar to what your talking about. Mines only ever done it with burnt CD's (only had the car 4 months) so I was putting it done to the fact they were burnt but maby I have a problem similar to yours.

The CD will be playing fine then when one track ends it goes to play the next one and you can hear the CD player trying to read the disc & after about 5 seconds it spits the disc out. It seems to do it more offten if you go straight to a track rather than let the whole CD play.

Is this what yours was doing?

Not disimmilar problems. They did ask me if we'd been using burnt CDs - which we hadn't. So I don't know if that would have any bearing on a warranty claim.

But my CD stacker was doing it with even brand new CDs! Attempt to play, couldn't find start, and then eject. Try it again and maybe it would work for a couple of tracks and then start skipping.

They replaced it - no questions asked - recognised problem.
