Tranny's

The last thing I wanted to do is make my car look like a mock up! But the DJR by C2R bodykit looks tough! It looks no where near like a GT or Phoon! She's in her own league! I hope that doesn't make me a tranny!

Im sorry I said it to pashen and I will say it to you that back bar just doesnt work for me it looks far too much like a commonwhore

Top car love the wheels :spoton:

We have a guy around here with the rego plates FPV XR6. Its a standard NA and Oh! with the fake GT stripes. :spoton:

For performance sake I agree but to make it look like its something its not well! Putt the dollars under the bonett son!

IMHO Sleepers are the go.

Cheers

Tony

I can kinda see why somone would mod an XT or somthing like that to look like somthing better. Overlooking the fact that with the money they spent plus the orignial purchase thay could have bought a N/A XR6 in the first place.

I just think people need to appreciate the turbos for what they are, and that is a dam great car in their own right. I don't see the need to try and make them into somthing there not.

You're overlooking some basics here though.

If there is an aftermarket (or alternative model) component which aids in improving the performance or reliability, then it becomes a wiser decision to do so.

Heat is a big problem with modified "T's".

Having enough cool air for radiator, larger intercooler, pwr steering cooler and trans cooler, not to mention an engine oil cooler too (for track work) becomes a real issue with the standard XR front clip.

I havn't made any direct measurements, but it appears visually that the GT/F6 front clips have a larger lower grille opening.

If my front clip ever needs replacing, I'll certainly be looking for an alternative means of improving the availability of cool air flow to aid my modded T.

I should add....

Any functional mod is OK in my book....

It's the show pony "look at me" add ons which have NO functional purpose which are a bit of a turn off.

Bit like that colour, Phantom.... :spoton:
