Flash Edit "security Code Error"

Featured Replies

#1

Just had the car serviced a couple of weeks ago and it has to go back in with a leaky diff and drive shaft spline problem under warranty.

However, flashed back the factory settings this am and a message "security code error" came up on the command centre screen.

Anybody seen this? Have they finally worked out how to ID flash edits?

Bye bye warranty?????

Panic over...

Just a computer code thing with no bearing on the edit. Also nothing that Ford has put in place.

I had this error come up too, when I had taken out the battery for a little while. I think it just comes up the first time you turn on the ICC, while it's checking that it's fitted to the right car.

I jumped in mine one night to drive home from town and the same thing happened and she stopped right in everyones road and would'nt go for around 3 minutes, I kept turning the ignition off and on and she finally recovered and started...only ever did it that once?

Weird.
