July 27, 200521 yr #21 I have an Auto and enjoy it.My friend has a manual and has done 30,000K's in it, the clutch went and had to be replaced, which Ford would not warrant due to the low k's or something along those lines, so he was forced to fork up the $1000 around abouts for a new clutch. Now he has the new clutch, he wants to get the Edit. He has been told that to have the Edit he should have the sports clutch which cost $1600 from Ford. As the standard clutch can not handle the extra power - so I have heard. So in regards to this info I have stated - Depends if you want to do any modifications to it or not, as the manual will most likely cost the little bit extra than the auto. July 27, 200521 yr #25 Author Thanks for all the great info guys, really appreciated!! I've made up my mind and am going for the auto mainly because:- I don't intend on modifying (well I cant really its a leased car!)- As much as I love hammering around the twisties (I used to own an integra type R - now theres a champion car for twisties!!), how often will I be using it for that purpose these days?- never going to track the car..- used as daily driver for wife with kidNow to put in the order and sit tight for the long wait ahead... (december!) I guess the closest thing to an XR6T is reading posts on this forum until then! Thanks again!!

I though 6 weeks was to long but to wait but 6 months gee...I'd have gone insane if I'd had to wait so long....
July 28, 200521 yr #28 Now to put in the order and sit tight for the long wait ahead... (december!) for the 6 speed auto?
July 28, 200521 yr #29 Author well its more to do with the company lease process than the dealers. December is the worst case scenario, but I just put in my order yesterday so just waiting to get a confirmed 'actual' date on when they'll actually deliver.
July 28, 200521 yr #30 You would think the lease company would be hot onto delivery - so they dont miss out on any months lease payments!
