Hi all,

Just wired up a SE car kit in my Turbo but be f**cked if I can find anywhere to mount the phone cradle.

So, if anyone could give me any ideas or even better post a pic of where yours is mounted I would be eternally grateful.

Cheers,

Fludey

I put mine here to the left of the ICC.

Anchored to one of the ICC mounting bolt under the 'boomerang' trim on the side of the console.

You can buy mtg brackets from auto accesory shops for about $10, to suit a Dunnydoor (I know) and bend it to fit. :spoton:

(Not my pic but in the same place as mine)

Approx $40 from Ford for a factory phone presenter, details on how to fit are in the FAQ section in Mods & Performance section.

Had mine installed by a Mobile Phone Installer, and he was able to provide a specific bracket for the phone holder that clips in between the dashboard and centre console. Even matches the original Ford colouring. This means that you can remove the bracket at a later date and not leave any holes.

If you want to, I can take a picture and post it.

Yup Gaz. The Telstra-sanctioned installers (the Telstra shop gives you their card when you buy/get a carkit from them) offer a "hole-free" mounting solution, and I believe their spiel mentions Falcons and Crummydores specifically (being two of the main business/fleet cars in Aus). I'm sure they said it comes in the form of a clip-in rather than a bolt-in dealie.

Here's a snapshot of the clip tucked in behind the instrument cluster.

ours is next to the ICC, you can buy brackets so you don't have to drill into the dash, ours hasn't left holes. Sorry I don't have a picture but I could get you one later if you like.

I have 2 of these in a box in the garage (one came with each car) and I took them out.

They are a pain as the phone is exactly in the way of the gearlever in the manual, and in the way of the auto shifter when in 'Presto Changeo' mode. :pinch:

I agree with YCL..... and as a man who spends over $1000 on mobile calls a month convenience is of utmost importance.

Don't use the phone presenter.. it is a pain in the arse and will get in the way of everything you do while driving.

If you put it next to the speedo it has long wires hanging out.

my 2 cents worth :pinch:
