Side Airbags

Just wondering if anyone out there with cloth seats and side airbags can answer a question for me. On all of my previous cars (not Fords), there as been some indication that there are side airbags installed. Normally a plastic cover on the side of the seat with airbag written on it or even just a tag stitched into the seat with airbag written on it.

If you have an XR and side airbags, could you confirm for me that there is a visual que that the bags exist ? I've paid for them, I just don't think there installed and I not real keen on having a side on just to see them release.

Mines got a tag on the side of the seat near the top with "airbag" written on it.

As does my 'phoon. Not that I can check to confirm that, because I'm driving a f*cking rental Falcon XT, which, of course, doesn't have side airbags.

Or a -whine-pssssht- either.

Leather seats have a tag marked 'airbag' on the door side seat shoulder.

my parents bought a car with cloth trim... the front seats at shoulder height (on the side) has a tag a bit like a clothing label that says airbag on it.

Yep, like they said.....no tags=no bags (or major, and probably illegal, stuff-up).

All should have a tag...

Feel the upper outter side of the shoulder on the seat, if its hardish then there are likely airbags in there without tags, which is against the law. Side airbag stickers are also inside the door near the drivers door latch...
