Guest StaggerLee Guests Posted 06/05/03 07:11 AM Share Posted 06/05/03 07:11 AM hammer007, my XR6T is a March build and I also have the oval exhaust, as do all other XR's that I've seen. That guy obviously had an aftermarket exhaust fitted. Guest Blow4Go Guests Posted 06/05/03 11:50 AM Share Posted 06/05/03 11:50 AM If you want a decent note from your XR6T. My cousin has a T and my father owns a exhaust shop we did a 3 inch system and it sounds f*ckin tuff. there is no drone in overdrive. The car hant been dynoed since the exhaust was changed but the ECU did not give any problems and the car has made more power than stock. Dont forget the Turbo utes get twin round tips out the back where as the Sedan gets the Oval with twin pipes inside. A mate has a NA Xr6 Ute and he has changed his rear tips to be the same as the Turbo ute. Looks like a Turbo with no badges from the back.. Hey Phantom XR6Turbo.. looks live we have the same Avitar. I normally scroll down the posts for mine and then read from there. I feel like a change anyway... Guest StaggerLee Guests Posted 07/05/03 05:34 AM Share Posted 07/05/03 05:34 AM So, turbo utes have twin pipes. I didn't know that...Why the difference to the sedan? Is it purely cosmetic? Or ford are just catering for the feral ute guys. This one had the same shaped outlet but the baffle was all the way to the end so there was an obvious line in the outlet cutting it in half vertically...like the XR8 IIRC. I forgot to look at the rego date but the plates were very new issue so I suspect it is post march. Has anyone else noticed this difference? Could the change be that they are using the same rear muffler/tail pipe on the XR6T and XR8??
