Start The Car And Throttle Light Comes On

I then take key out off ignition and start her up again.

never had the problem and since then, it has not happened again.

I have SSS and the light on the dash shows both Throttle and Traction Control.

Car had been stationary for about 3 hours.......weather was mild 24 degrees.

never had this happen before and has not happened since.

I phoned 2 diff Ford service departments and both said not to worry unless it happened again.

Any opinions and should I worry?

Until this happened I have had nothing wrong with the car ......since july last year when I purchased it brand new........

Unless it becomes a regular thing, I wouldn't worry about it. By the way, the traction control light always comes on when you first turn on the car. Unless you're saying that it stayed on for ages???

Mine has done the same 2-3 times in 38000 kms. Manual, stock. Didnt worry about it too much as it seemed fine after. Did wonder if I'd accidently depressed the accelerator before starting (or my young fella had done so).

Thanks guys......the Traction Control came on after I started the engine when it started coughing.....was for only 3 or 4 seconds though.....

Once I restarted has not been a problem since...........

edit never fixed mine ..end up being the throttle postioning sensor
