Stereo Problem

Featured Replies

#1

just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, when I turn the volume up to around 20 and play cds it will decrease in volume then get loud again this will happen through out the cd.

I only have base model stereo in the ute with the 4 standard speakers, just interested if this is just cause the headunit doesnt have enough power to run the speakers, but if it is actually a problem then I will let ford know when it goes in for its 3000km service this week

go into menu, go to P L 'ON'... turn it to OFF

Its power limiter, when the stereo distorts it will turn its self down when power limiter is on. Its not a fault, its just you have your stereo up bloody loud!

After putting my new speakers into the doors of my ute, I can now go above 20 and it doesn't sound like crap. Amazing the difference, the original speakers are some of the cheapest speakers I have seen, I was shocked when I pulled them out.
