After all I've been through with the xr6t my wife tells me she misses the sound of the V8!  We've owned 8 different V8's, the last was a hot VN V8 that she had for 8 years. So enjoy the V8.

Does the mean the rex is out and the Gt is in... :spoton:

She probably would swap her black rex (with leather, sunroof etc) for an auto GT .... with the same creature comforts of course! One of her old V8s was a '76 5.2litre Valiant (with dual exhaust, extractors, Edelbrock manifold, Holloy, cam etc) ... a lot of V8 history in this family... but just as much turbo.... but I suspect I'll go back to an auto V8 when I get a bit older and lazier.

Swapping over the front springs with the Mk11 XR8 versions should get rid of any understeer, the original springs are too soft. The Mk11 front springs should have been fitted from the start.

Punchbunny - Great write up on your test drives, exactly what I experienced and I aggree 100%, especially about the SS commodore, my wife has one and I aggree the leather seats are soooooo comfy its nearly a bad thing :megatired: and the gen III doesnt do a great deal below 3000rpm but really gets going above that.

Dazza.
