Then you have no power for a couple of seconds, the engine makes a funny loud purring noise then it takes off again after you take your foot off the pedal and re apply it. I don't know what this is. Either do Ford. I thought this could be Valve Spring Flutter. Mines done 13K. It started about 6K. Very intermittent. Of course Ford say your car is displaying no error codes Very Frustrating....any thoughts anyone?Cheers,GregBA, if this is hapening on a cold night/morning, at wide open throttle, its probably an over-boost. not uncommon.

A lot of people get it - mine started after I did my air cleaner mods. Probably not a bad idea to mention it at your next service. Although I don't know what they can do about it.

Chips,Thanks for your comments. It seems to only happen when cold about 5km in to the trip. Has only happened during the day everytime I plant the foot. Wouldn't an over-boost display a fault code. Everytime I tell Ford my car has done this they say NO error codes have been displayed.No my ventilation system will only blow on the Windscreen and feet....not the face. What else with these cars. Dec 02 built. I don't want to sell her but I'm getting sick of all the problems these cars develop.Cheers,
