April 23, 200422 yr #31 G'day All,I had a 10 Disc Stacker from Kenwood in my previous cars and with a Appropriate Kenwood Headunit gave me the ability to D.RDM and M.RDM (Disc random and Magazine Random) Even in the Kenwood unit the M.RDM sometimes took 50 seconds to scan a Disc randomly, then randomly select the track......As others have said the Ford 6 disc set up can't do magazine or loaded disc random.Cameron
April 23, 200422 yr #32 The premium sound is worth what you pay for it. The colour screen is one true advantage. You can add Sat nave later, or even a DVD player. Personally I think the subby is sorta weak but this is updated easily if more bass is wanted (adding a better amp is easy, cause the ford one is in the boot already). I may actually do that in the next few weeks. But in terms of the rest, I'm quite happy with the sound quality. The front splits etc do a reasonable job. BTW, this post used blatently as a way for me to hit the 600 post mark Ahh that's good to know!! So what is the amp running? Just the sub or all speakers? What is the size of the sub? Cheers AFAIK, the amp only runs the sub. I'm not exactly sure of the subby size, but I am sure I have heard/read in other topics that it is an 8" subby. The subby is the only real weak point I recon. The other speakers certainly do a good job in the music I like listening to. Electric Guitars, Acoustic guitars, singing etc sound awsome on the current setup. With a bigger, better subby it should make the system sound 10 times better. I don't know why, but when I watch a movie on the incar DVD the factory subby certainly does a good job, rumbling the car easily. But as I've said before, an upgraded amp/subby could do a seriously kick arse job.
