    It has been suggested to me that the bearings in the turbo may be the reason why mineral oil is recommended. What do you think?

    In the past I have always run my vehicles on Mobil 1 syn oil, but I note the Ford Maintenance book states mineral oil and when I asked about this I was told not to run synth, but mineral because of the turbo. I have some concerns with running a mineral oil and its loss of viscosity after 5,000kms.
