  1. Thanks Mat. What you describe above is exactly the kind of drive I'm hoping people would post up - something that is enjoyable for a wide audience rather than the "hidden neighbourhood speed run". There's heaps of drives like that already listed online, in magazines, travel brochures etc. The aim of Spiritedd is to make them more accessible, let's see how that goes.
  2. Thanks, some good ideas there! Being able to add photos from the drive has been requested couple of times already, certainly something we'll be looking into. Regarding map size, the site has been designed for a fairly large screen and it's possible that on a smaller screen like on a laptop things may look a bit oversized. I'll see what we can do. Fair call - that's actually something that has been raised several times as a potential risk with a site like this. I think there's two things that can be done to address this concern: 1) not post up drives you don't want to share in the first place and 2) ability to "report" drives that shouldn't be on the site (for various reasons). The 2nd item is something we'll certainly be looking into as the service gains momentum. I just replied on a thread over at the Ford Forums addressing similar topics, too. Cheers for the feedback!
  3. Hehe, good one! The idea behind the site is to be more about driving and less about the cars... It doesn't matter so much what you drive, as long as you enjoy driving! I've got a V2 Series 1 Monaro CV8 with a H/C package and a few other bits and bobs. Goes alright but could always use some more power, I'm sure you know how it is Cheers
  4. Hi all, this my first post here but I've been fairly active at the LS1 forums over the years. I'd like to share something the company I run has been working on recently to get your feedback on it. (This is a repost from LS1, I hope you don't mind. Moderators, if you feel this is an inappropriate topic for the XR6Turbo forums feel free to remove this post. I don't want to step on anybody's toes.) I like my cruises and weekend drives just as much as the next enthusiast. I work on the web and had this idea last year for an online service where you could post and share drives for the benefit of the wider driver community. We have just launched the first public beta: Spiritedd - Inspiring drives for spirited drivers Here's a screenshot: There's limited content on the site as yet but I hope you get the idea. I'd really appreciate your feedback: - What do you think of the concept? - What's good and bad about Spiritedd in its current form? - What would you change, and why? - Would you use this yourself? Thanks heaps in advance! Cheers, Jussi Ps. Here's a blog post explaining the background in a bit more detail. Disclosure: I am the designer behind the Spiritedd site. We are also looking at ways on how to commercialise the service in the medium term - the plan is to always provide free service for end users but sponsorship, advertising or other revenue will be necessary to cover ongoing development, maintenance and other costs.
