  1. Has anyone had tyre scrubbing issues? I'm on my third different front end setting and the tyres on my ute continue to scrub out on the inside. Factory camber and toe I got 20,000Kms As close to 0 camber as possible and 1mm toe either side I got 25,000Kms I'm now as close to 0 camber and 2mm of toe either side and I dont believe its improved HELP would be appreciated
  2. Well the good news is I'm pretty sure my aircon is fixed. I drove my ute straight to the dealership after a long drive and with the aircon malfunctioning they hooked up the computer and still no fault codes were present. After plenty of head scratching, 12 months and an application with department of fair trading the dealership was given approval to remove components without fault codes. Eventually it was found to be the HIM module in the dash. I have only been on two long trips since (5hrs) and my aircon operated fine both times. Fingers crossed and thanks for your suggestions
  3. Z2TT I didnt get away last weekend so I haven't. I have tried 100% fan on recycle before on an hour and a half drive and it didnt do it. Over the weekend I pulled the battery terminal off over night, the first time I drove it was for 30mins. During this drive I turned the AC on and off 5 times and it wasn't cooling the air at all just blowing ambient air temp. I turned my ute off and fueled up 15mins. Started up and drove about one km and tried the AC once and again it didnt cool. turned my ute off waited 5 mins and then restarted my ute and it cooled straight away, and has been cooling ever since, very temperamental. I changed the battery to a 620CC about two months ago, I wish that fixed. Next time I go somewhere I will try 100% fan on fresh, fingers crossed there is no road kill or fumey cars!
  4. Thanks gentlemen for your replies. I can confirm that when it stops blowing, if I turn the AC off on the ICC and then turn the fan on alone, there is still no air coming from the vents (fan noise can still be heard from the glove box side of the dash). I can also tell you that when it is playing up there is still a slight draught that is still cold (you can only feel it if you put your hand on the vent). It is interesting about the faulty battery, I was getting a low voltage message on the ICC on start up, ford tested the battery and said it checked out fine. I replaced the battery myself and have had no more low voltage messages. That was about three months ago, ford won't reimburse me though lol.
  5. Hi all, I own a current model turbo ute and I've been having air con problems for almost 12 months and no one has an answers. The problem is that the air con stops blowing air. I understand with climate control the temp of the air and the fan speed varies automatically to maintain a set temperature(auto mode), however even when the temp and fan speed are manually set (called semi auto mode), the amount of air will gradually decrease until no air is coming from the vents. When this happens the ICC still displays the air con as on etc, and the fan can still be heard, but there is no air coming through vents. you can change the vents, temperature and fan speed settings displayed on the ICC but still no air will flow. It does not happen immediately, it is progressive and I have only noticed it on longer drives 1hr plus. I regularly travel 5hr trips and will experience it up to 4 times. The only remedy is to turn the air con off, wait ten minutes and then try again. $40,000 and I have to drive in 38 degree heat with windows down! The ICC has been updated and changed twice. I did have a considerable air con compressor leak which has been replaced. It gets better, I have had an occassion when pulling into the driveway and turned the air con off, the ICC says its off but it remained on. I have had the opposite aswell, when starting my ute, the air con has come on with the ICC saying its off. It is intermittent, and takes time to fault, as a result after several trips to the dealership they cant fault it. Any ideas?
