Hi All, First time poster long time reader, I Have a 2003 BA XR6 Turbo Ute. This vehicle has been a pleasure to drive and own for the past 5 years. However I have recently ran into trouble. This is a Saga I was having intermittent problems where the car would start missing and then abruptly stall mid driving, It then would crank but not restart, After leaving it for a little while it would start again. I took in to my local mechanic. He couldn't find the fault. Scan tool was not picking up any errors. So he replaced the Crank Angle Sensor, not fixing the problem. I then took the car to a more specialist mechanic, who told me that because of the nature of the faults and no errors been picked up by the Scan tool, the ECU needed to be repaired, So that was taken out and rebuilt by a specialist Auto electrician that just deals with ECU problems. So The ECU was rebuilt and reinstalled, the car was taken to ford to be remarried to the BCM, everything was fine, I got the car back and was happily on the road again BUT Happiness was short lived, about a month later the same problem reoccured, I took it back to the mechanic, tests were performed and repeated with nothing coming up, It was decided that it was the ECU again, So that was replaced with a New ECU. After testing it the mechanic was confident that it was fixed, So I went to pick it up and low and behold, it did the exact same thing " the car would start missing and then abruptly stall mid driving, It then would crank but not restart" The mechanic is now sure its not an ECU issue, and is completely stumped by the problem as am I, he is possibly querying a BCM fault??, There is No Errors getting picked up on The Scan Tool. Im at my Wits end with this problem, If anyone has any ideas any help/advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
