  1. Ok I might check out fuel pressure when boosting before I start forking out dosh for the valve springs but thanks for all the advice. I'd hope it would be the fuel pump before the valve springs or the new coils I just put in.
  2. sh*t aye, hoping it wasn't that serious. Anyway to definitely confirm the springs are fubar? How much does that job cost roughly?
  3. Returned the PCM to the standard tune and the misfire worsened if anything. The car does feel more powerful and torquey after putting the new aftermarket coils in. How much does a set of standard Ford coils set you back? Also running the plugs at 0.8mm gap. Considering returning the gap to standard to see if that does anything.
  4. Hey guys, new to the forum, how you all going? Recently I noticed my BA was leaking oil from the tappet cover onto a spark plug causing a misfire, replaced all spark plug seals, vct seals and the tappet cover seal itself. Test driven the car and it is still misfiring so I assumed plugs as they were a bit old. Replaced plugs, test driven still misfiring, purchased a set of supposedly high performance coils of eBay (gave the longest warranty period, gotta mean something) and installed. Misfire isn't as bad but still hesistanting after hitting boost and at the end of the rev range. Was starting to get a bit frustrated then I noticed I only had 1/4 of a tank of fuel. Refilled my tank to the brim and tested, misfire is better but engine is still hesistanting noticeably after boost and towards the end of the revs. Now I have a SC3 Flash tuner which had the motor tuned for 10psi, also running a Hybrid intercooler (the sort that goes in one way and out the other), I am starting to think my fuel pump has shat itself and cannot feed the injectors with enough fuel. Or the PCM is cutting fuel because of too much boost, at the moment I am returning the PCM to standard to see how the problem goes. Have also tightened all exhaust bolts, replaced inlet manifold gasket, had injectors cleaned in a sonic bath. Any help would be appreciated.
