To answer my own question, I was new to turbos and was using standard unleaded. What a difference with 98 in it. All nice and smooth now.

Hi guys after owning an 03 XRT for a couple of months I have decided to sell as I'm still a student and can't afford to run it and maintain it if anything goes wrong. It's in good condition and has a 5spd manual box with 180000 on the clock. Any ideas what I should be asking for it? I have fixed numerous minor issues so am hoping to get more than my purchase price of 12G.

Or could this be caused by not using the correct octane rated fuel. The problem's only there under heavy acceleration and it gets worse as the engine heats up.

Hi guys I recently bought a BA XRT and it seems the turbo is playing up. I am completely new to turbos so don't know a lot. When I drive normally it works fine but when you really put your foot down it starts shaking and shuddering and losing power. Any ideas what this will be caused by. I've booked it in to be checked over this week. There is also oil seeping underneath and part of the exhaust is a bit loose. I think I've bought a big repair job.

Hi guys, I picked up my xr6T today, I think this something wrong with the tuibo. It runs normal but when u put your foot down it,s shudders badly and loses power. Any ideas? Is it something major? I guess that what you can expect from an auction house.

Hi there I'm completely new. I have just upgraded from a 95 ef XR6 to a 03 XR6 turbo. This site looks great. Also I'm after any advice on how to get a nice sounding bov set up. Cheers.
