  1. You got the spline that goes into the box then the uni joint then (the problem) there a join that's held together with six bolts and only three curved shaped washers.
  2. Should the bolts at the diff end of the drive shaft tighten?
  3. Thanks Smoke, I'll pull it out and have a look.
  4. Thanks, at least I know for certain now. Second time round should be easier anyway.
  5. Not while I was taking it out. Pulled it off to get it back in though and I still found it difficult. Just unbolt the bell housing from the motor and drop right? No need to touch the bell housing/transmission bots?
  6. is there some technique to getting the box out/in the last couple of inches or is it just one of those boxes that was never meant to be easy
  7. Got to pull it out and have a look to know I assume.
  8. What do you mean by distorted?
  9. It is an Exedy. It could only be fitted one way the spring mechanism sticks out an inch or so on one side. Bleed it again full presser in the pedal now, no difference however.
  10. Bleed the clutch well unless bubbles have a tendency to get stuck I would think that they are out. Pulled it home with the bolts probably the last cm or two
  11. that would be Shifts.
  12. The clutch feels pretty close to normal and it sh*ts through the gears with the engine off easily.
  13. Hi Guys I just finished putting a new clutch in my ba xr6t series 2 and now I cant get it in gear. Had it in gear when I first started (with new clutch in)it then put it in neutral and now it won't go back. Makes a hi pitched squeak almost a whistle when I try. Anyone got some knowledge they want to throw my way?
  14. Ok so I'm up for a new clutch in my ba xr6t mkll and I've been quoted $850 just for the parts (Clutch and slave). After having a look around the intraweb it seem I can probably do an upgrade for about the same price. So if any has some suggestions or has been throught the process already and has some advice I'd be grateful. Thanks Jimmyone
  15. Thanks guys, I'll check them out.
  16. Hey guys, can anyone tell me where to get some Ferodo DS2500 in Canberra? Cheers
  17. Your right I'd be pretty easily convinced to go darker I don't really want 35 I've just herd some bad stories about claims getting knocked back.
  18. Thanks guys I'll look into this bob I've got family up there so I'll be heading up some time soon. Still curious about the different films though.
  19. Bob the tinter ay... were in Sydney can I find him
  20. Hi Guys I'm looking to tint my ba but don't won't to risk the insurance so I'm only going the 35% however a few people have said that there is a varying amount of films on the market and some have a much darker look to them but are sill only 35%. If anyone know a bit about this I'm listening. Also if you have any recommendation for who does a good job in Canberra that would be great. Cheers Jimmy
  21. I'm not after something to handle a hole lot of track use but they will get a good workout round town maybe some track days in the future. I don't want to have to upgrade again to soon though so I'm after something that can take a bit without being some over-the-top setup that cost a fortune. Your right Mike I wouldn't think I need full on race pads but I'm not sure enough to say.
  22. Thanks for that wolf I'm gonna go with the Ferodo DS2500 I recon and some good fluid.
  23. A bit of personal preference ay. I'll have a look around do some research and hopefully come to a decision. Thank guy's most helpful
  24. to easy that makes sense slotted it is. Of coarse that bring to light my next question.... brake pads! any suggestions?
  25. The drilled slotted seemed the way to go there only a little bit more then the slotted but if they crack often maybe not. Whats the up side to the drilled then.
