is that Video of the Gt running 11s stock that is pretty ammazing if it is.

I am a V8 fanboy, but, let me say this to: I had a test drive in the Etheridge Ford Ringwood GT last week, and was very disappointed - and, going by gut-feel, I would reckon it is on par with how my stock F6 UTE performed off the floor, in sotck trim. Mr Bean that makes two of us that have actaully driven the cars and we are both dissapointed, I know everybody wants to flame me for stating what I think but has someone actually driven the car (not a passeneger) and put forward a positive review. I only just got off the phone to my dealer here in sydney and he has given me a price on both the GT and the F6 so as much as I am critical of the Gt its still on the Cards. prices are $71,290(drive away) for the GT with Leather and 69K for the F6 with leather.

how can people start making claims that the Gt has stronger motor without ever driving one let alone tuning it upwards of 400 Rwkw. this motor is still new in the states and they haven't really proven its reliability yet. the I6 has a proven track record of making awesome power fairly reliably. not to mention how many spare parts that are available. as I have said before not one GT has blown me away yet. I have driven one (wasn't impressed) and nobody has on this forum or any other forum has smashed the 1/4. and to top it off, all of the Crappy magazines inculding the drive review favour the Crumodoore. as said by jeremy Clarkson some cars are best left as a pipedream or a poster on the wall. I am sorry GT I am not sold yet Bring on the almighty F6.
-
Sorry Guys but Motor Magazines are not pros they are a bunch of fat old idiots that are trying to hang onto there youth. the only time when we get accurate results from there mags are when they invite V8 super car drivers to do the testing AKA pros. Motor mags have ripped apart fords for years and have always favored Holden. they are good for looking at pictures and new car spy pics that's it. qiksmurf it amazes me how quick you are to discredit the F6. If you do happen to read the Motor magazines you will see that the F6 is still faster 80 -120 by a far way and I quote wheels magazine here the F6 IS TORQUER in the lower gears. it is funny how people can get worked up about cars they have never driven and yes I am still waiting for someone to come forward with some proof on how fast the GT really is because no one has come forward on this forum. and for a drive review to go in favour of the GTS it makes you wonder is this V8 all its cracked up to be. after all its a American motor and the F6 is aussie Built. are we heading down the same path of Expensive Daewoo with Chevy why not close down Fords plant in Melbourne no need for it anymore we have a new hero.
-
I have driven both these cars and to be honest feels about right. who believes any magazine for all we know ford could gift them 20k to make out there new almighty v8 is best. the best stock gt 1/4 time was 12.92 guys on this forum have beaten that stock with f6s. tyre temp is very marginal in stock form we are not running V8 super car control tyres. also this is tested with roll on speed if it is struggling to put power down at 100 clicks F me. I am still waiting to be blown away by the GT I might seem critacl but I have sold my bf F6 and I am tossing up between these two cars. come on GT give me something solid to chew on.

apparently they are all stock my FPV dealer showed me the Vid and said they are all stock.

Hey Guys, I just found this video on you tube where a the f6 310 is out in front of the gt and the gt cant keep with it at all very interesting

mate my girlfriend was in the passenger seat at the time. (something you guys have in common) and yes I drove the car, call Peter warren ford sydney and speak with Ashley. I will even send you the email correspondence both leading up to the test drive and after with a quote on both the F6 and the new 335 GT. so please take your back seat reviews somewhere else no need to arc up like a Passenger. (I mean Girl) the only thing inconsistent here is your lack of actually driving the car, send me your email address and I will send you all the emails and I might even throw in the dealers contact number so u can call him to verify my BS story, do u also want the phone number of the passenger how about a sworn affidavit.
-
I like how u said passenger, funny that this means that u havn't driven this car yet wonder why? so how can u start handing out reviews about a car you have not driven. I also like how u mention slaughtering my BF when my BF was stock it ran 13.00 flat and the best we have seen this new gt get was a 12.92 so if you call 0.08 of a second slaughtering. my BF in current form runs 12.20 fairly consistently with a mild tune. I would hardly say slaughter. and if what I am saying is BS why would I come onto the forum and make up a bad review about a iconic car that I have loved for many years and was going to purchase. as I have said in past posts go down to peter warren at sydney and test drive the Nitro Blue Fg gt 335 with a zf auto then come give me a review. interesting that you were a passenger it must have been that time of the month for you and u would have been a little emotional. just like you were when you just had your little rant. keep on chugging on big guy everything will be ok and you will get through this. cheers

Mate that is Awesome finally someone is proving some real life dyno figures. I really cant wait for some 1/4 mile testing because Dyno Numbers are one thing but getting those RWKW down to the ground and keeping them there run after run that's the art. does anybody remember a wheels magazine who dynoed the old 5.4 GT and the hsv R8 the Gt put out 15 more rwkw than the HSV but the HSV was nearly a second quicker down the 1/4 mile. given the fact that another GS has put down well over 300 kw at the wheels why didnt the one I drive even break traction or feel quick for that matter do the dealers get a detuned test car or something if people dont believe me go to peter warren sydney and test drive the nitro blue gt with a ZF. why would I lie I love the car and was going to buy it it honestly felt slow and in comparison to my old turbo that only had 302rwkw at the wheels it felt real slow someone please explain.
-
Mate I totally agree with you however given the hype and talk up of this new GT I thought I was going to have the best of both worlds hence having the GT status and the extreme power of a supercharged V8 that as street fords have proven on their Dyno it pulled 350rwkw. I have owned a 300 + Rwkw Ba xr6 and I still own a Bf Typhoon I really was just expecting a great all rounder. it is what it is right not much I can do about it now as I said previously I hope FPV don’t Follow suit with HSV with huge talk ups and poor results FPV have always been the opposite
-
Mate in comparison to the old Gt it has improved a hell of a lot it feels firmer and doesn’t nose dive as hard it was just that I drove the FG f6 and GT back to back the F6 still does feel lighter in the front it wants to change direction easier. not to mention the bonnet bulge that makes you feel like the front end is carrying 2 ton. overall it is a big improvement over the old 5.4 Anchor funny enough my review is similar to that of Motor mag. I really did expect more from this Aussie made super car. I really cant wait to see how these go Moded these guys in the states are getting 8 second 1/4 mile times from this very V8 come FPV we need to beat the yanks check out these links: Evolution Performance, Performance Parts & Accessories - Ford Mustang & Shelby Experts . another link where the stock NA 5.0L mustang smokes what we know as the 6.2L HSV LS v8 so what I cant work is FPV improved the Pistons Rods Intake and Supercharged it and it looks slower than that NA Mustang

Thanks Dule, Finally someone who understands what I am saying. I never said I hated it or I would pick a HSV (Expensive Daewoo Special Vehicle for special people) I just expected more especially since street fords dyoned it at 350rwkw. Anyway Ford now have the fastest 8 and 6 cylinders in the aussie car market (don’t know where Expensive Daewoo fit anymore maybe they can push a 4cyl Torana) I think I may have hit a nerve hear I too am disappointed as yes there has been heaps of hype associated with this particular car. And lets not forget this car would not be here today if it weren’t for the iconic v8 beating BA xr6 turbo who helped phoenix Ford Aus. And it was upsetting to see not one f6 at the Sydney motor show considering it has been the flagship car for so long. At the end of the day I have driven one of these and so far no one has come forward and said the same, so until someone has actually driven one and experienced it firsthand then no one can really comment. Specs & numbers on a bit of paper mean nothing in the real world as we have seen time and time again. I just hope that FPV aren’t following suite with HSV who somehow fool there owners into thinking that they own the fastest four door production car in the world ( just ask any HSV owner at the pub). Ford have never talked a car up so hard and in my opinion it is overrated so bring on the time slips and dyno sheets its the start of a new Performance era. Thanks for your comments guys

mate in all fairness the new GT has the same 245 dunlop tyres which we all know cant handle the standard power. this new GT has being dynoed at 350 Rwkw now given the fact that v8 supercharged engines are more Responsive lower in the rev range as oppose to turbo lag. I note it did not break traction once I would understand this if it were running 305 Michelin Pilots at the rear.

I think people are missing the point I was going to buy the new gt and I was very excited however why would I fork out 70 + k for a car that is only marginally faster than the fg f6 it drinks more petreol costs more to insure and as we have already proven feels slower. Which is even more dangerous because u need to go faster to get any form of thrill and at the end of day we buy these cars to have fun in and there is no fun in going to jail for doing 200 kph on your new gt because it didnt feel fast. We don't live in Germany. And last time I checked this forum was called xr6 turbo not v8 central
-
Thanks guys for your honest comments, that's what forums are about workshoping ideas and passing on experiences and that's just all I am doing I cant wait untill somebody buys one and runs it down the 1/4 so we can get a accurate figure.

Well I have driven both Cars so yeah that kind of entitles me to make a comparison I would assume. my Bf managed to run 13.0 flat by the way and wheels, Motor and Top gear only managed mid 13s so technically my Typhoon is quicker. Fellows in all fairness I love fords and I have owned nearly every good car they have brought out I have owned the Ba Turbo the Bf Turbo and now the Bf Typhoon. I really wanted to this thing to blow me away and it didnt I have been in plenty of my mates Turbos that have over 300rwkw and these things are weapons as we all know. this car struggled to break traction for F sake something my BF does on a daily basis. if you read drives new Review they pick the HSV over the GT which now having driven it makes sense the Fg f6 feels lighter on its feet feels faster has more tuning capabilities.(if you read the new wheels mag f6 is still quicker 80-120 and from all drop down situations) Wheels qoute in the review F6 still has more toruqe than both GT and GTS that is a straight quote. when ford built the first Xr6 Turbo they unleashed a monster and there arnt many engines that will step up to the challnge and best of all its australian made. and I know I sound critical but I was genuinly going to by this car I was so excited about the first test drive only to be let down. the car had (5000 Kms) the Drive Review FPV GT versus HSV GTS

Hey Guys, Just got my First Drive of the new GT at peter Warren Sydney.(ZF Auto Nitro Blue) the first thing I noticed was the steering has improved and the suspension is firmer. when we finally found a back street (private Road) I opened her up it was fast but not that fast now I currently own a stock bf f6 typhoon Zf auto and to be honest the f6 still felt faster. I was very disappointed actually and now I am in two minds, do I get the fg f6 or the 335 GT. Apparenty Street Fords Magazine tested it and it punched out 350 Rwkw this car felt slower than my f6 with only 235rwkw. my mate who came with me said the same thing. it didnt even break traction. (I hammered it from every situation) whats going on ford this new off its head super car felt like a bit of a dud. not to mention how quiet and un v8 like it sounded please can some one tell me I am wrong I really wanted this car to be a hsv eating machine but I think that job is now left up to the all glorious F6. one last question does the fG F6 manual come with launch control & do the f6 manuals still get the twin plate ap racing clutch. please comments I want to be sold on either the GT or the F6 who still wears the crown Cheers Cranny

Surely someone on this entire Forum would have the answer
-
mate, how close were youre 4 pots to your current rims you said only a paper thin gap now what were they with the 4 Pots
-
Hi Guys, I have a set of F6 19 inch Dark Argents on my bf Foon I currently have the 4 pot and seem to have a fair bit of clearance. however how much bigger are the 6 pots in width if its only a few mill I should be ok. has anyone successfully fitted these wheels over a 6 pot before. and if I cant would spacers do the job.
-
Thanks Guys, anyone done this first hand. I know they will fit but the brake guy said that they will work fine the only problem being is Pad wear will be worse because the three pistons are sml meduim and large and reversing that will cause excess pad wear has anyone succesfully fitted these to a bf if so what do they stop like and what is your pad wear like Cheers guys all input is helpfull
-
Hi Guys, I have a 2006 BF phoon I need to change pads and rotors and weighing up the price it is worthwhile upgrading the whole lot. now I know the FG 6 Pot Brembo Kit wont bolt straight up so what is required to bolt these on my BF. Cheers Guys

Hey Guys, I have a 2006 BF Typoon with a ZF 6spd last nite I was in a car park with big BUMPS and I felt the car bottom out. about 5 min later I smelt burning oil. I had cracked the plastic sump on my gearbox. and the oil was pissing out. (still is) first question is have I ruined the box it still ran fine changing just as smooth as ever. could that 5 mins of leaking oil hurt the gearbox. who in Sydney is equipped to deal with these and where do I get the parts. ( I want the Best Place possible) oh by the way Fraud wanted 1300 to change oil and pan. Cheers guys
