Hi San, I did have an Rx7 but that was a long long time ago. Thanks for you input. I didnt know that I could use and F6 engine. How much work is it? Is it pretty much a straight bolt on???

Ian, Cheers for you mail message. I have gotten a quote for an engine from Fern Tree Gully Auto Salvage in Melbourne, Victoria. I am thinking of getting the engine from them and getting it put in. The car the engine is coming from had an accident and timing case and rocket cover is damaged but I can salvage all of that from mine. If you are willing to help me out in diagnosing wheather or not my car has a chip etc or even to do a tune I would be more than happy to bring the car to your shop when I get the engine. If you have time to talk over the weekend let me know and I will give you a buzz. Cheers Sherman

Thanks for the response guys. I am based in brissy it was just unfortuante that it had to happen all the way out the gold coast on indy and the towies were not will to help. In terms of what was done I (mods) from my knowledge suspension (springs), exhaust and that's pretty much it. A few ppl that have driven the car said that it boogies it is possible that it has a unichip but I have no idea. I am not even sure what boost it was running, I normally have boost gauge in all my turbo car I have owned but I was enjoying this one and I only had it for four months - 'not happy Jan'

G'day everyone. I have browsed this site many a times and everyones information alway seemed to help me. I have a BA MK1 xr6t. The sad news the engine blew just outside conrad jupiters casino last sunday(indy weekend) down the Gold Coast. It pushed a con-rod out the bottom of the block. I suppose the reason for my post is let you all know as I did see a few XRT's driving past...Also has anybody had this happen to them? I am keen to know because as you can imagine I am up for a new engine. Cheers.
