Okay - now I'm confused! Just checked the ford website and it's just made it as clear as mud!

I thought the prestige was the stereo fitted standard to the Fairmont ghia - more speaker elements, amp and sub. ƒ.

Got the Ford newsletter at work today - apart from the usual crap, the product update states: - The Prestige Sound System option will be available on all BA Falcon XR vehicles commencing in August 2003. So anyone with an order out there and you haven't heard, you might want to ring up your dealer and upgrade it! Cheers, ƒ.

Dunno about the ford system, but my mates BMW (325Ci) has a bad habit of wanting to do U turns in strange places if he misses a turn - over tram lines for instance. A bit of a gimic methinks. Nothing better than getting lost and driving for just that little bit longer... Speaking of which - anyone seen the new Expensive Daewoo Caprice ad? Good stuff. And yes, it's got PS2 connection. although playing from the back seat while driving is going to be a hassle! ƒ.

Haha... I _know_ I want to! I'm counting up the options list as we speak... 18inchers, Leather, Premium sound, side airbags, sports sterring wheel and sunroof. Hm... it certainly adds up. I've told the G/F that I'm looking at a Caprice. When I present the idea of something vastly cheaper she's going to let me have all the options I want. I hope! C.

I'm looking at getting an xr6 in November when my current lease finishes. I have 17inch wheels on my current car (VX Late model camira SS) so I'm used to a firmish ride. For those with the 18inch wheels (standard ford kit), do you think the extra cost is worth it? Do they make a significant change in the car's looks? I haven't seen them side by side to compare. If you've driven both, do they feel significantly different? Also - has any one had any issues of tyre wear? I go thru tyres like they're beers on my current ride - not suprisingly as the IRS on the rear is crap... And yes, I have bent a mag after an unfortunate incident with water 1½ deep and a pothole.
