September 11, 200818 yr #1 Hi there, I'm fitting a trasmission temp gauge and wondering about the fitment.I was considering putting the temp probe into the sump of the trans, but seems like a big job and might cost a bit.Another option I read about was simply binding the trans temp probe to the return pipe from the trans cooler with copper wire, no need to drill any holes or such.Does the standard xr6 t have a trans cooler?Any suggestions on fitment of a trans temp gauge? Thanks
September 13, 200818 yr #2 Hi mate, not sure on fitment of the gauge but I do know that the standard T's have a trans cooler built onto the side of the radiator. Apparently they are not much chop cause they can leak coolant into the trans fluid!!!
