G'day everyone,

got the first ever service ive done the other day on my Phoon since ive owned it (45,000kms) and the mechanics picked up that my rear brake rotors were too small. no one could explain why it was like that. upon closer inspection you can see that only half the rear pads are biting the rotors.

its an ex executive driven typhoon, always been serviced by ford. I bought it from ford.

and they want me to pay $1050 to fix the problem. to me that doesnt seem right.

any thoughts?

Yeah when I did the service they said they are too small. And they quoted me 1050 to fix it. I got it serviced where I bought it from. Not real happy.

not too sure of thickness as I dont have any to compare with.

but the diameter is definately noticable as the rotor only uses half the pads.

I,v got a set of back rotors of my 2007 typhoon, done 900km. I bought a set of brembos and dics for the back. only to find out the rotors are the same any bloody way. could have kicked myself. anyway I,m wanting 6oo. if u want them pm me. I don,t come here much though. fpv747 on ford forums. might also add that's nota bad price from ford, considering,that the rotors I have that I got which were the same were over 700 a peice
