Getting the XR8 ute edited soon;standard apart from Herrod extractors and exhaust.Manual trans,What sort of rwkw sounds about right? Also 260 pre- edit with vortech;how much power? What are the advantages of edit with a blower? Would there be a noticeable difference in power or an improvement in drivability?

Ok, from what ive seen anywhere from 200 to 240 odd rwkw's NA.

A mate has a XR8 ute with a vortech on it, running 6lbs boost and no intercooler, that is getting around the 370 rwkw mark and it doesnt have an edit yet. his has the xede chip on it and has been tuned for 42lb injectors.

The thing with the blower kit is that they dont control boost well, so you will need to run a 2 bar map sensor on it, the turbo BA's have them now, but when this car got the kit, it was fitted with a Expensive Daewoo one which works well too.

The ute in question is the phantom one on the cover of performance ford mag, the one with the BBS wheels on it, and having been in it, it goes very well indeed :crybaby:

If your in melbourne, go and visit DPC performance, he is in Campbelfield, he is a CAPA distributor for the SC kits and edit too, he will do you a great deal if you want an edit, like wise for a turbo BA :spoton:
