I posted this into the general discussion section, but apparently I heard from my bro that there was a 900kw (rumored) Light blue typhoon at Perth Burswood LS1 drive. And also apparently it was flogging all the LS1 biggies. he has a pic of it on his motorola phone, and im waiting for him to upload it from his phone.

I heard from my bro, that a modded F6 rolled up to a LS1 drive at Burswood (cheeky) and had 600KW or somthin crazy like that, and apparently it was so damn quick some of the LS1 biggies were saying "it was like we were standing still when that thing passed" lucky SOB having that phoon, love the yellow/black ones.

that's how I actually got the extended warranty called Driveline. Gotta keep it serviced at Range Ford. the price here in perth at BP Langford using FuelWatch search engine; ULP = $1.30.5 PULP = $1.36.5 98R = $1.39.5 So as you can see penny pinching between each fuel type.

my ticking seems to definately be near the air ducting, and might be what God666 explained as something stuck inside the ducting, because the sound is the same constant tick. not sure what the Bung hole explanation is, where exactly is this small 40mm hole that could be the problem? tonight I was giving it a small run after work, in the outer rural area. so pushing hard on the gas, it drops a gear, but the ticking noise really gets loud, until I take my foot off the gas and roll, then most of the sound is road noise. idling makes a very noticeable sound, like going through a drive through fast food lane, and the sound bounces off the brick wall, its quite loud even idling. its a real shame, makes the car sound like a worn out struggler. although ive got it at 140 in 2nd, seems to handle it, just that loud ticking noise.

over here in perth, its like 3c difference between premium and ultimate. to be more specific on the warranty, its from Range Ford. It think it was called Driveline warranty or something like that.

just wondering if..... A) using BP ultimate in a bog standard 05 XT is OK, considering its the same damn price as premium B) should I worry about extended warranty after the new car warranty runs out in Mar 08. its because servicing the car at the yard I purchased it from retains the ext warranty. Or should I get it serviced at another place and not worry about the extended warranty?

ive got that ticking, sounds like electrical arcing ? coming from the the area under or around the air duct? it seems to keep the same ticking pace, even if revving out, but gets louder as you press harder on the gas.

I havnt done a 30000K complimentary service yet in the log book. can I still qualify for it if the dials at 32000Ks ????????????? and its a free service right? compliments of Ford......yes? its had a 15K, but I know it needs some attention, funny steering noises, ticking noise like electricty, pulleys are kinda loud. will they look at those quibbles?????
