  1. Giday boys n girls. Well for the past 8 -9 months I've been looking around for a BA-BF ute. After countless test drives of XR8's XR6T's Manuals/Auto's u name it ive driven it I found my baby yesturday at Dandy ford. Sep'05 BF XR6T 6Spd Auto 8,000 odd k on the clock Shockwave Sports leather seats LCD Screen Dual climate control (*cough* ute) Stock as a rock BF Hardlid with spoiler Momo steering wheel Stacksof other stuff I honestly cant remember. The thing is absolutely mint! Me and my mate really pushed the dealer into a tight deal. He accepted! It's still subject to finance though... Lets just hope it goes through ey *fingers crossed* Im going to finance it through my business probably through my bank, Bendigo Bank. They'r offering me a rate around 7.30%(ish) does that sounds pretty decent to ppl? - This is my first business purchase and am EXTREMELY NERVOUS atm If anyone recommends finance ppl, insurance, plz im all ears, being self employed at 21 is hard enough let alone the lack of financial records Kind regards, Jarrod (hopfully will be a new face around here)
  2. So theres not RCA leads even in the PREMO deck!?!?!?!?!
  3. Also, Do both the CHEAPO/PREMO head units have RCA leads?
  4. Giday guys. Just curious how reasonable Ford are with warranty claims with modified cars? Sorry, im not particularly knowledgable, but is it safe to say that you can get away with and exhaust/intake pretty safely without voiding it? Im guessing once u play with things like valves/computers/injectors, then u can kiss your warranty good bye. I've heard a rumour, (it might not be true) that ford can check up the cars statistics through the car's computer and measure average RPM n a few other stats, kinda to see how you've been treating the car... Can that bite you in the arse when it comes to warranty claims? How have people gone with warranty claims? Have ford been pretty decent RE: claims? Kind regards, J
  5. Giday guys. Just curious regarding the premium sound on the xr6's. Has anyone wired in amps+subs to the factory head units? is it do-able? im guessing it should be, with that in mind... Is there really much difference between the head units power outputs (PREMO/CHEAPO)? - I mean I know yes, thrs a bigger screen + dual climate control, but when it comes down to it, I intend on ripping out the factory speakers and going straight to JB-HIFI A mate of mine works at JB-HIFI and tells me everytime the installers get a BA/BF falcon, they slap they'r head Anyone with they'res decked out, plz, any advice would be appreciated.. Kind regards, J
  6. Giday guys. My name is Jarrod, First time reader of xr6t forums, first time poster... I have been looking around for a few months recently for a xr6t ute. Have driven MANY of them and can safely say my business is GREATLY going to enjoy buying one =p My main intention was to buy a 6spd auto BF, have haggled down dealers to a decent price over a few dealerships. My questions are... * With the power/torque output of these monsters, what can the 4spd auto safely handle? - also what can the 6spd auto handle? * In comparing the older 4spd auto with the older 5 spd manual, is it safe to say that the 4 spd auto is a better choice for straight line speed than the manual? Im curious as obviously I would be able to get in2 a 2nd hand auto sooner than a 6spd BF. Kind regards Jarrod =) - hope to be cruising with u all soon enough =)
