  1. seriously nice looking ute.......well done on the mods
  2. I saw an AUII with GC plates perhaps done at the same shop......was a wagon with the back chopped to form the tray and an Xr front end. Quite bizarre looking and nowhere as neat as the Crewman. That pic looks like a BA wagon with a chopped rear end and an Xr front also seeing as though the Xr doesnt come in a wagon.
  3. I will join yas from Noosa....come by my place and give the neighbours a fright when they see a dozen or more Ts......It's bad enuf everytime I go out one of the local kids says....I love your car.......they tell their mates and the next time theres 3 or 4 little blokes drooling over it. Back to the topic though I agree with MackTheKnife back streets on the way, Rainbow Beach is worth a look Tin Can also and Toogum are all fine spots for a parade or 2.
  4. Ahh fair enuf.....when I was on the hill it looked like he had it side ways and off the track. Was hard to see thru trees in some parts.
  5. Looks like everyone had a good time out on the track. The driver of the lotus that was there informed me that later in the day a Monaro was giving him a run for his money getting to 250 down the main straight of the full track, passing the lotus who was still doing a mighty fine 200. Be nice to have that kinda money to play around with. I apologise for the quality of the attached pic, however the good camera's battery decided to pack up so had to use the backup camera. This is the Lotus after he just got past the TS50 on the corner where the Forrester lost grip, you can see the dirt the Forrester left on the track after his wild excursion. I will try dig out some more pics.
  6. BERLIN, May 1 (Reuters) - BMW drivers have more sex than owners of any other cars and are much more active than Porsche drivers, a new German car magazine has found. That's only cos they don't get XR6Ts over in Germany.

Don't know about their work but a guy on the weekend told me that Romano had bought a large number of Phase 2 kits and he still had a few left.....was fitting them for $5k or there abouts..........don't quote me on this price but it sounds like he must have done a few which can't hurt.
  8. ive done a google search for shv as displayed on the licence plate holder but no good........can't find any info
  9. sorry big kev I dont.........but whilst questions are being asked..........is that a filter I spy sitting left of the engine on the silver T
  10. ms700 yeah I figured that it just looks odd on an excel.......also apologise for the bad typing in the topic title an not and
  11. Was having coffee with a client this afternoon and noticed this Excel coming down the street with what appeared to be a pope bubble stuck to the back of it. Couldn't resist taking picture of it to show the boys down the pub. Sorry about the quality was from my phone

If they change the BA model to that in '07 Ford will lose me again just like when they changed the EL to the AU, I never liked theAU (my opinion only) I know some people loved the AU just personal taste I guess. Ford have got a great package in the BA looks a lot nicer than anything else on the road in the same category ie magna, camry commodore.
  13. According to the service guide the 45000km is a B type service taking 1 hour and 12 minutes to complete on top of that the XR6T needs another 54 minutes to tighten inlet and exhaust manifolds. It also says spark plugs only need replacing at every 105000kms which is a 12 minute job. So adding all that up equals 2 hrs 6 minutes or 2 hrs 18 minutes if the spark plugs were done at the 45000km. So at $291 they sure are getting a good hourly rate for servicing I know this includes mehcanics and apprentice time but it still seems high at over $120/hr.
  14. Surely tightening the handbrake cable would be part of the standard checking of items to ensure they operate correctly and therefore included in the labour for service itself not a separate item.
  15. I emailed them to see what they had in stock and for what price. This is their reply. Good Afternoon, I have two Black 2004 Lightning in stock, price $105k+GST. If you would like a spec, please supply your fax number or address. Regards VDC Pty Ltd

'A dentist found the source of the toothache Patrick Lawler was complaining about on the roof of his mouth: a four-inch nail the construction worker had unknowingly embedded in his skull six days earlier. A nail gun backfired on Lawler, 23, on Jan. 6 while working in Breckenridge, a ski resort town in the central Colorado mountains. The tool sent a nail into a piece of wood nearby, but Lawler didn't realize a second nail had shot through his mouth, said his sister, Lisa Metcalse. ' That had to hurt more than just a bit of toothache.
  17. I am coming down from Noosa to meet up at Darlington Park on Sunday. Is there a plan of action yet as in times/places. I understand its at Darlington Park at 7am but are there any further plans for making our way there in formation or perhaps a cruise afterwards. I will more than likely stay in Brisbane Saturday night and head down there from Cleveland direction on Sunday morning if anyone else is going from that side of town. Also are spectators welcome as the car will not be running around the track until it receives some brake upgrades. Thanks in advance
  18. that's the ute I want for my work vehicle saw it on the fast and the furious and been trying to find one since....looks a lot nicer than the oz F series trucks. If anyone knows of any dealers in OZ doing imports etc I would be very interested

    Welcome Jim Great looking car
  21. Turbo6.....I am still typing the wrong dates also so I suspect it is correct as 2004 Feb 26 was not a Sat Goldie.....Can't confirm or deny that XR6/XR8 club is involved I know that last year a few of the car clubs turned up but it was completely organised by Stone Brothers......I know you are good at organising cruises (seen a few listed on the site) perhaps you can point me in the right direction. Turbo6.....I tired that one time and they are reulctant to leave their protected tent area for fear of being mobbed. As an alternative I saw many people had removed certain parts of their car to be signed instead, ie engine cover, sun visors etc.
  22. As a thought maybe we could get a bunch of Ts to head out there as part of a cruise.
  23. Defending V8 Supercar Champions Stone Brothers Racing will officially unveil their New 3 Seater Ride Car during a team "Fan Day" at its Yatala base in Queensland on Saturday February 26. Fans will have the chance to meet with Pirtek Racing's Marcos Ambrose and Caltex Havoline Ford driver Russell Ingall and get a "sneak peak" at the new SBR ride car with the chance to Win a Ride with any purchase of Merchandise. There will be the chance to grab an autograph, get a photograph of the cars and secure massive "at cost" discounts on merchandise from previous seasons. Some of the new 2005 merchandise range will be on sale and there will also be a host of racing memorabilia up for grabs and bits and pieces from the SBR cars. "I think this is a great concept and will give us a chance to spend some time with the SBR fans and answer all of their questions before the season starts next month," said Ambrose, the newly-double crowned V8 Supercar champion. Heading into his thrid season with SBR, Ingall has his first elusive V8 Supercar championship in his sights in 2005. "The response we had to the Fan Day last year was incredible and you can be sure it is only going to get bigger yet again," said Ingall. "I had a great year with SBR in my last season and I am looking forward to going one better in 2005." Team co-owner Ross Stone says the response to the first 2 Fan Day's produced results way beyond expectations. "We were expecting a few hundred fans, but we had a over 6000 thousand come through the gates," said Stone. "This day gives the fans a chance to come and have a chat with our drivers and also grab a bargain before the season starts." The Fan Day will have a family feel with free jumping castle, show bags, balloons and sausage sizzle for SBR's younger fans.
