Hey Everyone, I picked up a 2004 BA XR6T Ute yesterday. 70,000ks on the clock. Stock as a rock. Has the premium Brembo brakes. Lightening Strike (I know, I know it's undercoat ha ha). Has warranty until October. Got it for 27K. Was a bit more than I wanted to pay but the brakes are quite dear as a factory option arn't they? Anyway, thought I would say hi as I will probably be asking a few questions on here. Cheers, Matt

Thanks Falc Yeah I realise those numbers are quoted at the flywheel. Just did not think there would be so much loss through the gearbox and diff. Have you raced many 8's? If so how did you go?

Ok thanks. So it is losing around 45.5kw through the drive train?. Seems like quite a lot. I didn't think it would be that high.

Hi Everyone, Has anyone had any experience in purchasing and aftermarket hard lid. Looking at getting one soon and hoping to find one in the Sydney area. Hoping to get some feedback as to price, quality of finish and how well it fits. Also any that offer a better locking mechanism than the factory one. Thanks, Matt

Hi Everyone, I am just a few days away from becoming an owner of a 2004 XR6 Turbo Ute. Just wondering if anyone has seen any results from facory XR6T's and XR8's on the dyno. Just wondering how close the factory power claims are to what they are actually putting out. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Matt

Nah it's a turbo. I contacted the dealer, it just has the XR8 bonnet. I am only looking at spending around 25K

I thought it was a bit of a rip off. That's getting close to the price of a new one isn't it?
