yeah I know , I couldn't book it in right away as they want you to pay on the day and at the time I didn't have the money,

hi mate sorry for late reply 

there was some  coolant mixed with the oil when they flushed it, they said there was more oil in the coolant than coolant in the trans,

booked back in today, going to get them to check to oil level and take it for a drive and see what they think, then go from there, guessing if its worse case ill try get a 2nd hand gearbox over a rebuild

In the video it shows the revs jumping around which will be caused by the torque converter locking and unlocking. I've seen this happen before but didn't have a chance to do anything to rectify it. It would be worth swapping the converter first and see if it helps, but more than likely the converter and gearbox frictions are damaged. As you aren't doing any of the work yourself, you should consult with your mechanic to work out which is the best way forward financially.

 

Or you could do nothing at all, live with the surging issue and replace the lot if it ever starts slipping.
