Hi if anyone can help me it will be great as I'm looking my mind. I've recently bought a bf xr6t and have a rear suspension squeak.

So far I've changed all the arms: upper arms, lower control arms, trailing blade arm shocks, bump stops & sway bar link rods.

There is still a squeak when driving on the road. It sounds like a old rusty bed.

Someone told me it won't be the diff bushes as it will make a clunk noise.

Can anyone please help guide me what else I can try to do to fix the problem.

Just driving on the road, not going over speed humps or pot holes. The noise is also present if I go to the back and bounce the rear, I can hear a metallic creak/squeak

Does it happen if you "bounce" the rear only a little bit that doesn't actually compress the shock/spring? If so, it sounds more like the mounts from the frame to the body somewhere, rather than suspension specifically.

hmm that's unusual... hard to tell what it might be if you have to bounce it hard to get it to do it and it doesn't bounce much at all and does it when you're driving... :idunno: I'd be taking it to a suspension place to diagnose it at this point.

Sorry for late replies

So far all the the items listed have been changed arms: upper arms, lower control arms, trailing blade arm shocks, bump stops & sway bar link rods, Rear wheel bearings.

The Rear end cradle has been removed. Everything greased, the springs re seated.

Noise stopped for about a week but has returned.

I have given up on this car does anyone have any idea they can through at me.

thanks

I will upload a link of the sound the car makes

Unreal, being that it's so obvious and repeatable you should be able to locate it. Have a go at putting it up on blocks and have someone bounce it while you're under there. Safer option would be 4 post hoist. Perhaps give the exhaust a shake for good measure.
