Installing GT3582r high flow

G'day all,

I'm new to the turbo world and am seeking such much needed advice. I own a 2003 ba xr6t and when after purchasing sight unseen (I know don't hate me haha) have discovered my turbo is cooked. I have purchased a GT3582r from turbochargersplus and a new oil feed line as I'm certain that is the cause of the issue. I can't find any info if the boost control will be the same as factory and if once installed will I have to straight away to get it tuned. I am worried about the turbo overboosting and causing me more grief. Any help will be greatly appreciated,

As long as the turbo is exactly the same specifications (e.g. size and shapes of wheels) then it'll be fine to just run it as-is without a tune. Ask the supplier for the specifications to confirm. If it's got different hardware there's a high likelihood of issues and you'll need a dyno-tune to suit the new turbo.

you don't prime it at all; the falcon has a feature whereby you push the throttle to the floor and turn the ignition key and it runs the oil pump but not the ignition electricity... Do that for a few seconds and the oil goes all around the system (this is something you do after an oil change, too).
