Safe to put in bigger fuel pump

Yeah nah do some reading and you'll find out why you shouldn't do that.

 

Failing that, as most do, I'll list a few reasons why you shouldn't;

 

There is no need for a pump that big for an na car.

 

A 525 needs an aftermarket reg to control the fuel pressure, no ifs or buts.

 

A 525 will melt your wiring so you will have to install a relay and battery feed.

 

It will add unnecessary heat to your fuel which makes for poor performance.

 

It cost more than an appropriately sized pump.

 

It doesn't fit the swirl pot without modifications.

 

Even with an aftermarket reg you will probably run into return pressure issues, which means more modification to the swirl pot.

 

So yeah moral of the story is you shouldn't install a 525, rather get another stock pump and you'll be apples.
