The car makes an awful sound when in drive or reverse coming from around the differential. I also found some ball bearings on the ground and a round seal that had split. Any ideas would could have blown up? Would it be the differential? CV's? I'll upload some photos of underneath and send a video of the sound it makes later. Cheers. Did you end up blowing both CV's? Is it common for both to go at the same time or just one?
cat007 Member 234 Member For: 5y 6m 24d Posted 23/07/21 02:57 AM Share Posted 23/07/21 02:57 AM I blew out the rear that bolts to the diff. Center joint is fine. You can buy them on ebay for fairly cheap but if you have some decent power I would suggest talking to a driveshaft shop. Going after market tailshaft with a uni instead of a CV is what big power guys go for....
