Hi.. I,ve purchased a Xr6T recently and noticed it has a slight rattle like noise from engine bay. The noise disappears when the clutch is pressed down. I will be taking to my mechanic in a few weeks time for my roadworthy but curious what it may be. Car hasn't been driven much in the past 3 months. Purchased from interstate

Thanks

If it's got a twin plate clutch, that might just be the clutch plates/springs rattling about a bit.

Thanks. I’ll just get the mechanic to look over it then. Is that common or might need a adjustment? Sold mine in 2015! Happy to get another one.. definitely won’t be selling this one anytime soon.

Not sure if it has twin plate. The car is pretty much stock standard still.

for twin plates it's perfectly normal to have a bit of a rattle when you're idling with the clutch disengaged.
