Recently drove a very clean looking FG-X turbo at a used car dealer and found the car great in all ways except that the gearbox had a bit of a crunch going from 2nd to 3rd suggesting weak syncros and it was a bit baulky going into 1st at a standstill. Have other owners experienced this with their cars and it it something that can be repaired? Any ideas as to how much it is to get a TR-6060 gearbox reconditioned? Made harder when they drive the car and swear they can't feel any problem with the gearbox. Isn't it always the way if your car has an issue and you try and show the mechanic and they can't find a thing wrong. Helps in this case when you know what the gearbox should feel like. Just parts for a recondition look to be around $1,500.
