Yeah I could feel the trans slip in 3rd and I reckon it broke when the converter locked.

I should have got off it but it was on borrowed time anyway. Haha it ran up over 900awhp this morning.

Went roll racing, first race, shifted from 2nd to 3rd, broke input shaft.

Fml.
I called it! Purely because it was not only miles past its limit but it had also been doing it for so long...
Will be interesting to see what the shaft looks like. A quarter twisted before breaking?
Place your bets!!!

I finally pulled the trans out and the input shaft had sheared off. I'll drop off the 6r80 input shaft and converter this week for machining and measuring etc. I reckon I'll get a GM converter modded to match the zf height, so I can get a higher stall speed to take care of any big turbo/big cams issues.

Anyhow here's a pic with a finger for scale

well, it's only supposed to rotate about it's main axis, not any other axis and it'd be pretty freakin' strong in that direction, but not so much in the minor axes.

Is that a slight twist in the shaft with the Barcode and number or was it stamped off center?
I feel at ease raping mine with its puny power... I do have a spare but I think it'll be all rusted by now!
