Valve springs are optional, as discussed above. The key thing to remember is, you have an engine with weaker rods if the build date of your car is before June 2006, so pushing up towards 300rwkw would risk the motor in that circumstance. Stock turbo will run out of puff before actuator can't handle the handle.Talk to your tuner. I recommend Maxx Performance. Zane knows what's what. Stock turbo will run out of puff before actuator can't handle the handle. That's completely wrong. The stock actuator is about 7-8psi on a BF. If you want it to hold boost properly into the 'teens of PSI, the stock one won't do a good enough job and you will probably need to port the exhaust housing to control boost properly at the 14+psi levels. The turbocharger itself will make 20+psi in the mid-range without trouble, so the turbo isn't running out of flow at 'teens of PSI levels (about 18-19psi is the most a GT3582R can hold in a 4L motor at higher revs, but that's still higher than what this guy is aiming for at this stage). Then do this.Fuel pump and cradle.Regulator.Injectors.Intercooler.Turbo side intake.High flow cat.Charge pipes.Valve springs.Spark plugs - 0.7mmFlex fuel if you can afford it.Tune with above and ~300rwkw on 98 or 350rwkw on E85 - minimum. Maybe another 50 on top of each.
