Hi I just purchased a fg xr6t and was having trouble with boost. I found the the rubber tubing on the the top of the intake was split so we replaced that, then it would only hit boost for a second and cut out, then I found the tube from the boost solenoid to the actuator had came off the solenoid I fixed it now it’s fine could the over boosting for that second or two damage the engine. Also is this a common problem with them. Thanks

Overboost can destroy engines, no questions... But it generally won't in the first few instances, so if your engine has no other signs of damage since the event(s) of overboost, you're probably fine.

The splitting of the pipe in question is common, but the actuator being disconnected from the solenoid doesn't generally happen without human error.
