Falconhell13 Member 61 Member For: 4y 5m 29d Posted 30/01/20 06:40 AM Share Posted 30/01/20 06:40 AM I finally got a scanner to find the airbag fault and am now seeing this, wasnt as simple as I was hoping... does anyone know what the issue is here apart from the obvious before I throw parts and time at it? And seeing as these problems have nothing to do with the airbags why are unrelated problems setting the airbag light off?

P0238 points to "Boost Pressure Sensor Circuit High" and it's voltage range should be 0.3 (10kPa) to 3.7V (200kPa) so that'd suggest it's getting values outside of that and it points to a dead BPS or dying sensing of this specific circuit in the PCM. P0532 points to the fault of "Air Conditioner Pressure Transducer low input" which points to the ACPT sensor having an issue or the dying sensing of this specific circuit in the PCM. P2135 points to "Throttle Position Sensor 1 & 2 Voltage Correlation Fault" which points to an open circuit to ground or the PCM has damage or is faulty. Based on those 3, I'd replace the BPS first and see if it at least resolves the P0238 and if it doesn't it sounds like your PCM is damaged or faulty. Do you think those faults have anything to do with why im getting code 5-2 on the airbag light? Aw hang on I understand now...so its not actually the airbag light that's on? Is it actually called rcm light?

And the light is just indicating a fault in the airbag system in general, which includes the RCM, so yeah, it's possible that's the cause of the light, but I've never heard of a "5-2" error. The trouble codes are enough without knowing anything specific to how often or how long the ABS fault light will be illuminated.
Falconhell13 Member 61 Member For: 4y 5m 29d Posted 30/01/20 10:10 AM Author Share Posted 30/01/20 10:10 AM So do you think it will just need to be reset or would I need to replace sensors etc? I have custom piping put on which last owner did so im wondering if he hasnt even put in a presure sensor with thr piping

You can take the car to a specialist and get them to look into the problem or continue to go a little blindly.
