GTX 3576 GEN2 - What rear housing?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I am upgrading my Baby turbo to a GTX 3576 Gen 2,

Is the Standard turbo rear housing a good match?

Is the compressor housing intake the same size as standard?

is there anything else needed besides turbo, gaskets and actuator bracket?

Goal is 400RWKW on 98

yes, the standard rear housing is fine.

no, the compressor housing intake is 4" as compared to the stock 3"

an oil restrictor may be required if the turbo requires one.

when my turbo dies im going this turbo and full send on 98.

I miss the instant spool and boost too much to go to the gtx3582 again

just upgrade now ;) you've already re-gathered the itch for the modified falcon you once had.

never said it was bad, it pulls like a train all the way off the clock, couldn't imagine it with a built engine to ring its neck out.

but for me now I want 0-100 quick! not 100-250 lel

The precision 6235 is a good compromise, spools quicker than the gtx3582 and still goes 400rwkw on 98.

If you had a larger turbo, the gtx3576 feels real slow from 3000rpm onwards, despite the quick spool. I sold mine within 5000kms and went bigger again.
