that's pretty cool. I guess going completely standalone like that has it's advantages :)

is it still the factory paint or has it been repainted at some point?

that's right at the end of the day remove the VCT and an engine is only a 4 stroke air pump like any other engine.

so long as the ecu has a crank and cam reference signal in order to fire the injectors and coils.

the car 54 years old, no its not the original paint. I repainted it in 96.

ahh, I understand the old car situation with regard to paint :)

did you repaint it the same as the original colour?

what's the name of the colour, if you know it?

ahh nice; yes I know cobalt blue as my father had a car painted that colour and it's a beautiful dark blue and your pictures represent it well :)

why the switch from FG coils to R35 coils?

Very nice!

Curious as to the thinking behind the W2A intercooler. Dont think I have seen one on a Barra turbo before.

Shortens the pipe work and reduces lag.  Go drive a turbo territory and you will feel the difference

Dont know how efficient the water to air are.

do some research on the efficiency, you`ll be surprised. The down side is the extra weight of carrying the water supply.

because Haltech ECU`s dont have built in ignition igniters like the Ford ecu has. It was either the choice of an external igniter or 6x Nissan coils which have the igniters built in.

6 Nissan coils are cheaper.

thank you.

Reason I went the W2A is I have put a late model engine into an older car with a small engine bay. Theres very limited room between the radiator support and the grille and I didnt want to choke it all up with fans, radiator and intercooler and end up with a car that runs HOT, I already had the 4" reverse cowl bonnet on the car and figured theres plenty of real estate up on top!!! Might as well use it...
