Looking at making a long term investment so I'm happy to spend the money this time as it will probably stay in until I sell the vehicle. k31th less WHY; more WOT Site Developer 28,281 Member For: 16y 7d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 12/10/19 12:26 AM Share Posted 12/10/19 12:26 AM there's no such thing as a battery that lasts the life of a car, unfortunately, due to the nature of how a car uses a battery... so it's only really worth investing in a 3x ++ more expensive one if you need the extra juice that it provides for a sound system or something. Stick with a cheap-ish battery that's got the same CCA rating as the one you've currently got in the car and it'll last 2-5 years (assuming you drive the car reasonably often and the alternator/charging-system stays in working order throughout that period of time).
